Lose Weight - Do You Really Want To?



I can't hear you but, I believe that the majority of obese people just put their hand up and screamed a resounding YES!

Let me ask that question again but, this time I want you to think a little more about what losing weight really entails. Are you prepared to change your diet? Are you prepared to exercise? To experience the highs' and the lows'? Maybe even keep your new diet and exercise plan for life, to keep off the excess weight that you will lose?

Let me ask you the same question again.

"Do you want to lose weight"?

WOW!

"A lot less people just put their hands up and I couldn't hear many voices. Did anyone say yes"?

That's right losing weight is hard. A lot of people give up and fail. If it were easy, there wouldn't be as many diet companies out there coining it in.

So, before you even think of dieting you need to get motivated and stay motivated. You have to have a reason! You have to be, 'Hungry' to succeed. You have to want it! Demand it! Live it! Or else you are probably doomed to failure or the, 'Knife'. Maybe that helps motivate some?

You have to stay motivated for the long term. Finding this motivation can prove hard especially when you return home from work tired after another long stressful day. Just as you are about to sit down and rest you realize that you have to do your workout first. You have to sacrifice some of your spare time. "What spare time"? I hear you say. You have to make spare time. Then you can sit down at the table with your glass of water and your well balanced 'Portions'. Safe in the knowledge that you will not only lose weight but, will reach your target weight if you can keep to your new regime. You just have to stay highly motivated and determined to reach your goal, at any cost. Lets repeat that. 'At Any Cost'!

If you can't stay motivated and keep to your diet you will go back to piling the weight on and in all probability will eventually develop health problems. Your cholesterol in your blood will increase and start to clog your arteries. This could lead to heart related problems, even a heart attack. The increased amount of fat around your heart will increase and you will be prone to developing Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). There is a chance that you will develop cancerous tumors with your increasing fat tissue.

With all of the doom and gloom hanging over your head you should be more than motivated. Maybe you just believe that you can't put the effort in. You can't stay the course. It is going to take far more effort than you have. If this is you and you know that you really want to lose weight but cannot find the motivation within yourself, then you need to join a support group and maybe join a weight loss forum. You need to find a support group that will instill the confidence in you and keep you motivated. One that will really get you going and keep you determined, determined to reach your goal.

You know that many people have already managed to shed what seems like impossible amounts of weight. You may even know some of the people who have managed to beat their obesity. You know it's possible, it's doable. Some of the people have been in a much worse condition than you and yet they have succeeded. They have managed to improve the quality of their life. This is proof that with a little help you can do it. You have to believe it.

Start talking to people who are having similar problems as yourself on forums that are dedicated to people losing weight. You will be able to interact with them and share your struggles with each other. Some of the people will be failing whilst others will be succeeding. The good thing about the forums are that you can be brutally honest as your identity is hidden. No one can see your face or even hear you. You just tap away at the keyboard, so there is no need to be anxious about anyone being judgmental or anything like that. Here you might be able to find the answer, the determination, the hunger, the MOTIVATION!

I believe that you will find the motivation if you want to, if your reasons are big enough and if you really do want to improve the quality of your life. Stop eating your way to, 'Ill Health' and an early grave and do something constructive with the problem.

Do not let anything get in the way of you losing weight.
